First Round of Consultation

On 15th July 2024, we launched our first VoxPop Community Forum Session. Later that week we held two public exhibitions at St Peter’s Church Vauxhall to introduce Vauxhall Square and gather feedback. We also sponsored Vauxhall Primary School’s Summer Sizzler, engaging with over 250 people and raising over £1,900 for the school.

Second Round of Consultation

On 9th December 2024, we held a second VoxPop Community Forum Session at Wyvil Primary School. Later that week we held two public exhibitions, at Vauxhall City Farm and Wyvil Primary School, showcasing updated proposals that responded to the feedback we heard in our first round. We also returned to Vauxhall City Farm for its Christmas Market, where our stall connected with over 570 local residents.

We heard

We have

Local people would like to see more greenery and green space on site
An accessible public park will be at the heart of the proposals, with increased biodiversity and greening across the site.
There was a desire for improved pedestrian and cycle access through the site
New pedestrian and cycle links through the site form part of our submitted proposals, improving access to the station and the river for everyone.
Local people wanted to see some space that provided services for them
The proposals provide new community facilities, helping to support the local population.
There was a desire for new retail and food and beverage options that local people could easily access
These bold new proposals will transform Vauxhall Square into a vibrant destination, anchored by an accessible public park at its heart. Lined with bars, cafes, restaurants, office space, exciting entertainment venues and community facilities, this will be a place for everyone to relax, connect and thrive in the heart of Vauxhall.
Local people wanted to see new homes, including affordable tenures
Delivered 25% affordable housing by habitable room, including 122 much-needed homes for social rent. Since submitting our application, market conditions across London have required us to reduce the overall affordable proportion from 35%, but we have protected every single social rent home, and the co-living and student elements still contribute the equivalent of 35%.
Local people wanted to see more community activities and meanwhile uses while the wider site is being developed
Partnered with Game4Padel to deliver a new three-court padel venue at Vauxhall Square which is now open. We’re committed to supporting local schools with discounted access for young people as well as community groups at off peak times, creating an active, welcoming space from day one.

Across both of our public exhibitions and our stall at the Vauxhall City Farm Christmas Market, we engaged with over 450 people.

Following our second round of consultation we have continued to make a donation for every survey that has been completed to the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre Food Bank.

Third Round of Consultation

Between late June and mid-July 2025, we held the third round of public consultation on the Vauxhall Square proposals. This included a VoxPop session for local stakeholders, a public exhibition at Vauxhall City Farm, and an online webinar, all supported by a flyer drop to nearly 5,000 local addresses, social media promotion, and updates to the consultation website. Around 75 people attended the events, the website attracted 2,900 visitors, and over 60 survey responses were received, helping to shape the proposals ahead of submission to LB Lambeth.

Since submission

We submitted our planning application to Lambeth Council in October 2025.
Since then we have continued to respond to feedback from the Council, the Greater London Authority, Transport for London and local people, and have made two sets of amendments to the application, most recently in June 2026.
Lambeth Council is currently conducting their statutory consulting on those amendments, and you can view the plans and comment directly via the Council’s planning portal using reference 25/03113/EIAFUL.
